The Russian Defense Ministry's air defense systems shot down one unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying towards Moscow. This was announced on April 2 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.

"The air defense Ministry shot down a drone flying to Moscow. Emergency services specialists are working at the crash site," he wrote on the Maks messenger.
