Eight unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were shot down in the Kaluga region. This was announced on May 2 by the head of the region Vladislav Shapsha.

"Last night, the air defense forces destroyed eight UAVs over the territories of Duminichi, Kirovsky, Lyudinovsky, Maloyaroslavetsky and Tarussky municipal districts, as well as Kuibyshevsky district and the outskirts of Kaluga," the publication says in the Maks messenger.

The message states that there are no casualties or damage. Operational groups are working on the ground.

Shapsha reported on April 24 that fragments of a Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU) UAV shot down over Kaluga had damaged the roof of three apartment buildings. It was clarified that there were no casualties. The city administration will assist in repairing the damaged roof.
