As of the end of the first quarter of 2026, the lowest unemployment rate among the G20 countries was recorded in Russia. This became known on May 2 based on an analysis of data from the national statistical services.

At the end of March, the unemployment rate in the Russian Federation was at 2.2%, unchanged from the end of 2025. The indicator became the lowest among all the largest economies in the world, RIA Novosti reports.
