The United States will withdraw 5,000 troops from Germany within 6-12 months. This was announced on March 1 by the Reuters news agency, citing the Pentagon.

The Pentagon announced on Friday the withdrawal of 5,000 troops from NATO ally Germany, amid deepening disagreements over the war with Iran between President Donald Trump and Europe.

According to the agency, the withdrawal of troops is expected within the next six to twelve months. It is noted that the reduction in the number of troops will allow the number of American troops in Europe to return approximately to the level that existed before 2022.
