A man tried to attack the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Denis Pasler in Yekaterinburg, he was stopped by security guards. As the press service of the head of the region told Izvestia, the attacker was handed over to law enforcement agencies to clarify the circumstances.

Earlier, footage appeared online showing a man running at a May Day rally in Yekaterinburg trying to approach the Sverdlovsk governor. The unknown man was pinned down by security.

"The man has been handed over to law enforcement agencies to clarify the circumstances. No one was injured," the governor's press service said in response to a request to comment on footage of the incident.
