Four foreigners were trapped under rubble at a coal mine in the Magadan region.
As a result of the collapse at a coal mine in the Magadan region, four foreign citizens were trapped under the rubble. This was announced on May 1 by the governor of the region Sergey Nosov.
The head of the region noted that there are eight people under the rubble. Two of them are local residents, and the other two are workers from other regions of the Russian Federation.
"Two are Magadan residents, four are citizens of another state, one is from Rostov, one is from Krasnodar Territory," he told RIA Novosti.
The collapse of a mine in the Magadan region became known a day earlier. According to preliminary information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the region, up to eight people could be trapped under the rubble. Alexander Nesterovich, the general director of the company where the incident was recorded, attributed the incident to a mudslide. A criminal case has been opened.
At the coal mine, the search for people after the collapse continued all night, over 2 thousand cubic meters of rock were dismantled on site.
