Russia intends to use the available means and resources to ensure free navigation in the Baltic Sea. This was announced on May 1 by the Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Artyom Bulatov.

"To ensure respect for the principle of freedom of navigation in the Baltic, the Russian side will use the full range of means and resources at its disposal," Bulatov said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

It is noted that Russia is ready not to limit itself only by legal and political means.

The Russian Embassy in Sweden reported on January 19 that the Finnish and Swedish authorities were destroying the integrated navigation safety system in the Baltic Sea.
