- The Ministry of Education supported the ban on screening students of the Unified State Exam — 2026
The Russian Ministry of Education has supported Rosobrnadzor's approach to organizing entrances to the Unified State Exam (USE) sites, including the issue of the inadmissibility of examining schoolchildren before passing the USE — 2026. This was announced on May 1 by the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov.
"Psychological attitude is important for the successful passing of the exam. A clear understanding of the procedures and rules for admission to the EXAM site reduces anxiety and helps to focus on the main thing — knowledge. This approach demonstrates respect for students and at the same time allows them to increase their responsibility before the final assessment," the press service of the department quotes him as saying.
The minister said that the department also decided to synchronize the exam schedule with the end of the academic year. This will allow students to finish the school year as planned without unnecessary stress. Students will have the opportunity to distribute their strength and prepare for exams in a calm manner.
In 2026, for the first time, the main period of the state final certification will begin on June 1.
Rosobrnadzor had earlier imposed a ban on the inspection of exam participants in 2026. The organizers and security personnel are not allowed to touch the examinees and their personal belongings.
Alexander Khaminsky, a lawyer and head of the Law Enforcement Center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, told Izvestia on the same day that when a metal detector is triggered, exam participants will be required to take prohibited items on their own, and physical inspection without legal grounds is completely prohibited.
