Participants of the Immortal Regiment will march along Nevsky Prospekt in St. Petersburg on Victory Day. This was announced on April 30 by Governor Alexander Beglov.

"Residents of St. Petersburg and guests of our city will be able to share the joy of the holiday in the march of the Immortal Regiment along Nevsky Prospekt," he said on the 78 TV channel.

According to the governor, this year the march of the "Immortal Regiment" will begin earlier than usual.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on April 29 that the Victory Day Parade on May 9 would be held without equipment due to increased terrorist activity in Kiev. He noted that the parade would take place anyway. At the same time, last year there was an anniversary, large-format parade, which was supposed to take place on a round date. The current date is not an anniversary date, so the parade will be held in a truncated format.
