- The Cabinet of Ministers approved agreements with oil companies on fuel supplies and prices
Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has approved a decree according to which the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) must conclude agreements with oil companies aimed at stabilizing and developing the domestic market for petroleum products. This became known on April 30.
Oil companies will conclude agreements that will record the volume of fuel supplies to the Russian domestic market, as well as a commitment to keep retail prices at gas stations at the inflation rate in 2026.
"The decree establishes a list of oil companies with which the Ministry of Energy and the Federal Antimonopoly Service will conclude agreements. The agreements will regulate the volume of supply to the domestic motor fuel market and retail prices for gasoline and diesel fuel in 2026, taking into account the expected inflation rate," the government said in a statement.
