Private Konstantin Stepanenko provided first aid to a wounded colleague during a combat mission, after which he escorted him to the evacuation area. The Russian Defense Ministry reported on the exploits of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the area of a special military operation on Friday, May 1.

It is noted that Stepanenko began providing medical care immediately when he reached the victim's location. After stabilizing the wounded man's condition, the soldiers headed for the evacuation point.

During the movement, the Russian military began to pursue two enemy attack unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Despite the difficult situation, the private destroyed both targets with his personal small arms. After that, he successfully escorted his friend to the evacuation point. Stepanenko's courage and high professionalism helped save the victim's life.

The Ministry of Defense also said that Junior Sergeant Alexander Gorin, in one of the important tactical areas, led a unit that entered enemy positions from the flank and began to clean them up. After losing the fortifications, soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) tried to recapture them during a counterattack, but retreated after heavy losses.

As a result, the Russian assault group led by Gorin was able to capture important positions and gain a foothold on them.
