Two-time world swimming champion Kliment Kolesnikov said on April 30 that the most difficult stage in his career was 2019, when he was diagnosed with arm vein thrombosis.

"If we talk about my career, the most difficult period is 2019, before the World Cup, when I had thrombosis," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to the swimmer, it was a difficult period psychologically, because there was a possibility that he would not be able to return to big-time sports. Kolesnikov noted that being at the peak of physical fitness and having to stop due to health problems was the most difficult test. All the other difficulties seem like small things to him after that.

Russian defender of HC Carolina Hurricanes Alexander Nikishin could not finish the fourth match of the first round of the NHL playoffs against Ottawa due to the opponent's harsh power play. After falling on the ice, he managed to get up on his own, but in order to leave the court, he needed the support of his teammates.
