A return to the normal conduct of European Union (EU) affairs with Russia is impossible even after the end of the special military operation in Ukraine. This was announced on April 30 by the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Kallas.

According to her, all EU countries agree with this position.

"Next month in Cyprus, the foreign ministers will continue discussing our approach to Russia and how best to protect our interests," she said at a press conference with the foreign ministers of the Baltic and Northern European countries, broadcast on the Reuters YouTube channel.

On April 30, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, announced that Russia had no aggressive plans towards Europe. According to him, at the same time, the rhetoric about a possible conflict with Russia is intensifying in Europe.

On March 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin pointed to the crisis in Russia's relations with Europe. He stressed that the Russian side has never refused to restore relations.
