Rosneft presents a tourist car route in Stavropol
The Threads of Traditions route, designed for motorists, passing through the cities of the Caucasian Mineral Waters, was presented by Rosneft together with the Ministry of Tourism and Health Resorts of the Stavropol Territory. The third route through this region, which was developed by the oil company and the regional authorities, is dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, the press service of PJSC NK Rosneft reported.
They noted that Rosneft actively supports initiatives to develop domestic tourism, as well as considers the development of roadside services and improving the level of customer services one of the company's priorities.
The "threads of traditions" pass through Zheleznovodsk, Pyatigorsk, Yessentuki and Kislovodsk. Moving along it, tourists will be able to get acquainted with the history of the picturesque region, touch the Cossack way of life and immerse themselves in the subtleties of national costumes and treats.
The total length of the route is about 120 km, it includes seven sites to visit. In particular, tourists are invited to visit the Zheleznovodsk Museum of Local Lore, which contains thousands of exhibits telling about the rich past of the city, its healing mineral springs and outstanding people who left their mark on the history of the region. In Pyatigorsk, it is proposed to visit the State Museum-Reserve named after M.Y. Lermontov. The poet's last days were spent in the original building where the museum is located.
On the way to Yessentuki, autotourists are expected at the Cossack farmstead. The tour takes place in a Cossack hut built in 1902. The guests are greeted by a family of Nekrasovites, descendants of the Don Cossacks, who did not accept Peter I's reforms and left the Don under the leadership of ataman Ignat Nekrasov.
The final point of the route is the memorial museum—estate of N.A. Yaroshenko in Kislovodsk. In the only 19th-century noble estate preserved in the south of Russia, you can see a collection of paintings and graphics, including works dedicated to the life of the Caucasian peoples.
