- Polyansky called the plans of France and Poland for the exercises as preparation for the war
The plans of France and Poland for joint exercises with nuclear strikes are a direct preparation for war. Dmitry Polyansky, Russia's Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), said this on April 30.
"The formation of a network of treaties — from agreements with Germany to Finland's proposals to abandon the ban on the presence of nuclear weapons on its territory — creates a new threat architecture. And now Paris and Warsaw are openly preparing joint bilateral military exercises to practice nuclear strikes on targets in Russia and Belarus," Polyansky stressed at a meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council, a speech published on the website of the Russian permanent Mission.
He also pointed to the trend towards the spread of nuclear "umbrellas" to the EU countries. In addition, the permanent representative expressed concern that the Franco-Polish scenarios do not even provide for consultations within NATO in accordance with the fifth article of the North Atlantic Treaty.
On April 29, the head of the British Royal Navy, Gwyn Jenkins, announced plans to create a joint naval force (Navy) with nine other states and deploy them in northern Europe to respond to alleged threats from Russia.
The foreign policy expert of the Sarah Wagenknecht Union for Reason and Justice (SSV) on foreign policy, Sevim Dagdelen, said on the same day that the "morally depraved" proposal to use the German Navy against Russian ships raises the threat of war.
