The Russian Embassy in Austria has sent a protest note to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the revealed facts of the glorification of Nazi collaborators. This was announced on April 30 at the Russian Embassy in Vienna.

"We express our deep concern over the information that has appeared in the Austrian public space about the glorification of Nazi collaborators and the spread of Bandera ideology. <...> The participation of representatives of the local political establishment in events also raises questions <...> In this regard, the embassy sent a note to the Austrian Foreign Ministry," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

The diplomatic mission also pointed out that Ukrainian nationalist organizations are openly operating in the country. They hold events related to the glorification of Stepan Bandera and other accomplices of the Nazi regime. It is noted that the participants of the gatherings wear commemorative signs and symbols related to formations associated with the Nazi troops. It is emphasized that such meetings are organized with the de facto connivance of local authorities.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on April 26 that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is currently leading all attempts to revive Nazism and enjoys this process "immensely." The diplomat also noted that Nazism has been "rearing its head" lately.

Lavrov said on March 16 that Nazism turned out to be very tenacious among Europeans, they want to leave in power in Ukraine a man who frankly admits that he does not consider the inhabitants of Crimea to be people.
