The facts of the work of Soviet intelligence became the basis for the detective story "On the trail of the Beast"

On May 9, the premiere of the spy detective "On the Trail of the Beast" will take place on REN TV. The channel will show all episodes of the action-packed film, which is based on reliable facts of the work of the Soviet and German intelligence services.

The action takes place in 1942, when, after the defeat at Stalingrad, the Nazis are preparing a revenge on the Kursk Bulge. In the autumn of 1942, the Germans realized that they were losing at Stalingrad, and desperately wanted to take revenge on the Kursk Bulge. The Wehrmacht command threw its saboteurs into the Soviet rear, group by group. Hospitals, railways — the enemy was hitting precisely and ruthlessly.

A group under the command of Andrei Losev opposed the saboteurs. The Red Army soldiers acted covertly. Behind enemy lines, they confidently passed for their own. The project is based on reliable facts of the work of both our and German intelligence services. The characters are fictional, but they exist in historical realities.

"The story is based on the fact from Marshal Zhukov's memoirs that he already knew the date of the German offensive on the Kursk Bulge in the spring of 1943 according to reports from the Voronezh Front intelligence department," said director of photography Peter Amelin.

The world on the screen, all its details look as authentic as possible.

"The best scenery is, of course, nature. Filming of a mass scene with scouts takes place in the marshes in the Leningrad region. The water is literally knee deep. Therefore, a couple of hours of shift, and the actors no longer have to pretend to be tired," said Maxim Oblender, a correspondent for Izvestia.

The story that will haunt the viewer is the relationship of the brothers. A family conflict over their father's political views will separate the two brothers. Years later, under different surnames, they will meet on different sides of the fence.

The cast includes Pavel Kharlanchuk, Mikhail Gavrilov, Anton Batyrev, Sergey Komarov, Oleg Taktarov.
