A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops liberated the village of Korchakovka in the Sumy region. As a result of the actions of Russian military personnel, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 240 militants, two armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles and the RADA RPS-42 counter-battery warfare station.

In addition, the Zapad group of troops improved the situation along the front line, defeated Ukrainian armed formations in the areas of the settlements of Nechvolodovka, Kovalevka, Monachinovka, Kutkovka, Shyikovka, Kharkiv region, Tatyanovka, Staryi Karavan, Krasny Liman and Prishib DPR.

"As a result of decisive actions, units of the Center group of forces liberated the settlement of Novoaleksandrovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. Formations of two mechanized, assault, and airmobile brigades, an assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and five National Guard brigades were defeated," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, has defeated Ukraine's energy infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, drone assembly and launch sites, temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 141 regions.

In turn, air defense systems shot down seven guided aerial bombs, two HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 571 aircraft-type drones. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed four unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 139,321 UAVs, 658 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,090 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,712 multiple rocket launchers, 34,675 field artillery and mortars, 60,447 pieces of special vehicles.
