If you are bitten by a tick, you should seek medical help as soon as possible — optimally within the first 72 hours. On April 30, Olga Skudareva, head of the Department of Biological Safety and Sanitary Protection of the Territory of the Department of Epidemiological Welfare of the Population of Rospotrebnadzor, announced this at the press conference "Tick Season 2026: risks and recommendations for the population" at the Izvestia News Center.

According to the expert, timely access to specialists can reduce the risk of developing infections transmitted through tick bites.
