In Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, a hunter shot his comrade in the forest. A criminal case has been opened into the incident.

According to the <url> news agency, with reference to the press service of the TFR, in the Berezovsky district, a 34-year-old man saw a target and fired a gun. At the same moment, a 28-year-old acquaintance of the shooter was in the line of fire. The wound he received turned out to be fatal.

The case was initiated under the article "Causing death by negligence." The culprit faces up to two years in prison.

Earlier, on January 5, in the Leningrad region, a hunter shot at a car, mistaking it for an elk, and fatally wounded a passenger. It was clarified that the 27-year-old man was in the forest as part of a hunting group tracking a moose when the incident occurred.
