A Moscow region court has sentenced a man who killed a friend with a barbecue skewer to six years in prison in a high-security penal colony. This was reported to Izvestia in court on April 30.

The incident occurred on the morning of June 13, 2025. Two men were relaxing at a cottage on the banks of the Oka River, drinking alcoholic beverages. A conflict arose between them — one of the friends threatened the other with violence, and in response he was hit with a skewer in the heart area.

A 33-year-old man was taken to the hospital, but he could not be saved.
