An Mi-8 helicopter with an operational group flew to the site of the mine collapse in the Magadan region. This was announced on April 30 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the region.
"The Mi-8 helicopter of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations with an operational group <...> flew to the scene of the incident," the agency said in a post on the Maks messenger.
The collapse of the mine in the Magadan region became known on the same day. According to preliminary information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in the region, up to eight people could be trapped under the rubble. Alexander Nesterovich, the general director of the company where the incident was recorded, linked the incident to a mudslide.
The Investigative Committee of Russia has opened a criminal case after the collapse of rock masses in the Kadychkansky coal mine in the Magadan region.
