The only region in Russia where the average pension provision is 42 thousand rubles is the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. This statistic was provided by the Social Fund of Russia on March 1.

It is noted that in this region the average pension is 42,015 rubles. At the same time, in other regions the pension amount does not exceed 40 thousand rubles.

In March 2025, the average pension of citizens living in the Chukotka Autonomous Region amounted to 38.2 thousand rubles. Over the year, this indicator in the region increased by 3.7 thousand rubles.

On April 26, State Duma deputy Alexei Govyrin announced that in 2027, pensions for working pensioners will be recalculated starting from August 1 for insurance premiums in an undeclared manner. The deputy explained that the August adjustment was related to the contributions that the employer transferred for the pensioner to the Social Fund. At the same time, such recalculation has a limitation — no more than three pension coefficients.
