Russia's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 1.8% in March after declining in February. This was reported on April 29 in the review of the Ministry of Economic Development "On the current situation in the economy."

"According to the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, in March 2026, GDP grew by 1.8% after -1.1% in February (the GDP estimate for February was updated mainly due to Rosstat's revision of wholesale trade data). Excluding the seasonal factor, GDP grew by +1.4% after 0.3% a month earlier. The dynamics of GDP in the first quarter of 2026 amounted to 0.3%," the document says.
