He took part in a meeting on the situation in the city together with the anti-terrorist commission and the operational staff of the region. They discussed security for the May holidays.

"Given the events of recent days and the current situation, the municipality has decided to cancel all events," Boyko wrote on his Telegram channel.

He added that the only exceptions would be laying flowers at memorials and mini-concerts for veterans in honor of Victory Day. The head of the municipality explained that "we have no right to offend them with attention on such a day."
