More than 3,500 decorative elements will be installed in Moscow to mark the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. This was reported in the complex of urban economy of the capital on Wednesday, April 29.
Pyotr Biryukov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping, noted that the city will traditionally be decorated for the holiday, and the main color of the decoration will be red, the symbol of the Victory Banner. According to him, themed structures will appear at the entrances to Moscow, flag compositions will appear at metro stations, embankments and highways, and more than 2,000 flags will decorate bridges.
Large installations, including the 11-meter Victory Star, will be placed at VDNH, Triumfalnaya Square and Dorogomilovskaya Zastava Square. Constructions "Victory Star" and "Victory Salute" will appear near the Ministry of Defense on Frunzenskaya Embankment, and decorative apple trees with St. George ribbons will appear in Victory Park, the Moscow City News Agency reports.
Multimedia structures with congratulations, photo zones "Victory!" and "May 9th" and other decorative elements in parks and pedestrian zones will also be installed in the city. All structures are reused — without additional purchases.
