Specialists of the municipal economy complex have updated the wooden flooring at the monument to Peter the Great, located in the center of Moscow. This was announced on Wednesday, April 29, by Pyotr Biryukov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Landscaping.

According to him, the work was carried out at the site at the base of the monument, installed in 1997 on the arrow of the Moskva River and the Drainage Canal. The total repair area was about 1.2 thousand square meters, utilities and specialized equipment were involved in the work, the Moscow City News agency reports.

Biryukov noted that the upgrade was required due to the wear of the coating, which was affected by weather conditions. As part of the project, wooden logs were replaced, structures were treated with protective compounds and railings were repaired.
