Citizens will choose names for electric vessels from the Moscow shipyard

Voting for names for the first four electric vessels, which are being built at the Moscow Shipyard, has started in the Active Citizen project. This was announced on Wednesday, April 29, by the Moscow Department of Transport.

Maxim Liksutov, Moscow's Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry, noted that the city continues to develop regular river transport and new vessels will be named after historical districts and settlements. According to him, residents will be offered eight options, from which up to four can be selected, and points from the city loyalty program will be awarded for participation.

The department added that the electric vessels are characterized by increased capacity, climate control system, individual lighting, high ceilings, panoramic windows and a transparent roof. Now their production has been completely transferred to the capital, the Moscow City News agency reports.
