Ex-vice president of Oboronstroy pleaded not guilty to multimillion-dollar fraud

Irina Yasakova, the former vice-president of the Oboronstroy Association, pleaded not guilty to fraud on a particularly large scale at a meeting in the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow. This was reported on April 29 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

As follows from the case file, the criminal proceedings are related to the alleged fraud of 55 million rubles. Yasakova is facing a civil lawsuit in the amount of more than 100 million rubles.

According to investigators, the defendant received money for the sale of the building, but she was not going to fulfill her obligations under the deal. Yasakova herself stated that she was not involved in the crime.

Yasakova was sent to jail on November 21, 2025. She could face up to 10 years in prison. As vice president of Oboronstroy, the defendant headed several construction companies subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Defense, including Oboronenergo, Oboronexpertiza and Oboronstroyproekt. In January 2026, it became known that the arrested Yasakova has a residence permit (residence permit) and real estate in a foreign country.
