KHL clubs will no longer be able to change the salary cap by re-signing contracts
The Board of Directors of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) has approved changes regarding the salary cap. Now clubs will not be able to change it by re-signing contracts with players. This was reported on the website of the league's press service.
"Starting from the 2026/2027 season, the following changes will be made to the KHL's Legal Regulations: <...> In the case of a re—signing of contracts between the club and the player with reduced wages and (or) individual bonuses, the terms of the old contract will be taken into account," the publication says.
