Wildberries&Russ announced plans to study a new GOST for pick-up points.

Wildberries &Russ (RWB) will study the GOST for order pick-up points proposed by Roskachestvo and introduce innovations if necessary. This was reported to Izvestia on April 29 by the RWB press service.

The company stated that they had not participated in the discussion of the document, but would study it after its official publication. If there are provisions that are applicable and useful for the development of the digital platform, they will consider the possibility of their implementation.

At the same time, RWB noted that GOST standards are advisory in nature, and in its activities the company is guided by the regulations of Rospotrebnadzor.

"Order pick—up points are not commercial facilities, which is already fixed in the current regulation; attempts to extend relevant standards to them look like a populist initiative that does not take into account the specifics of the industry," the press service added.

Berries — again: Wildberries intends to go abroad

The marketplace is already preparing a "pilot" in Ethiopia and is considering the Indian market.

On April 29, Roskachestvo announced that a new GOST for trade enterprises had been approved in Russia. It covers modern shopping formats, including supermarkets, kiosks, and pick-up points. The document offers a clear typology of retail facilities, taking into account their size, assortment, service methods and technologies used.
