In Russia, spring frosts can negatively affect several categories of crops. He told about it on April 29 in the press center of the Izvestia News Center at the round table "Abnormal cold: how will the spring frosts affect the future harvest?" Anatoly Tikhonov, Director of the International Center for Agribusiness and Food Security at the RANEPA Graduate School of Corporate Governance.

According to him, first of all, the risks may affect winter crops, as well as spring crops that have already faced adverse weather conditions.

"The second category is fruit and seed crops, because both the Krasnodar Territory and Dagestan, which produce 18% of the national harvest of these crops, have certain problems," he said.

According to the expert, this can affect crop volumes and, as a result, prices in the current season.
