In the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), law enforcement officers detained a resident of the Volodarsky district, who is suspected of publicly justifying terrorism. This was announced on April 29 by the press service of the FSB of Russia for the region.
According to investigators, the man in the Telegram messenger repeatedly wrote comments in which he justified the terrorist attack of the Ukrainian special services committed in April last year. At that time, Lieutenant General Yaroslav Moskalik, Deputy head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, was killed in a car explosion in Balashikha, Moscow region.
The FSB for the DPR opened a criminal case against the man under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public appeals, justification and propaganda of terrorism").
On April 25 last year, a car explosion occurred on Nesterov Boulevard in the Aviatorov microdistrict in Balashikha, as a result of which Lieutenant-General Moskalik was killed. The explosion was caused by an improvised explosive device. A criminal case was opened on this fact.
Ignat Kuzin, a suspect in the murder of a Muscovite, was detained on April 26, after which he confessed. Later, on April 27, it was reported that Kuzin was charged with committing a terrorist act. It was clarified that he was promised a reward of $18,000 for committing the terrorist act. The investigation was completed in September 2025. A life sentence was requested for Kuzin.
