The Dutch authorities do not intend to abandon the pro-Ukrainian course. This was announced at a briefing on April 29 by the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Russian Ambassador to the Netherlands Vladimir Tarabrin.

"The Netherlands is not only ready to continue to bear the financial burden of supporting Ukraine, but also to consistently increase the scale and depth of its participation," he said.

According to him, a consensus has formed in the country's political circles in favor of continuing to support Ukraine and pursuing a tough anti-Russian line. He noted that domestic political competition, in his opinion, is often expressed in an effort to demonstrate greater commitment to the course of NATO and a tougher stance towards Russia.

On March 25, Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten called on European states not to be distracted from the conflict in Ukraine by other armed conflicts. He noted that there is a risk of so-called fatigue from a protracted conflict, which may lead to a decrease in Ukraine's interest and support.
