A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops liberated the village of Novodmitrovka in the Sumy region. In addition, the Southern Group of Troops established control over the settlement of Novodmitrovka in the DPR, defeated the manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces in the areas of the settlements of Konstantinovka, Nikolaevka, Orekhovatka, Slavyansk, Kramatorsk and Rai-Alexandrovka of the DPR.

"The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. They defeated formations of a mechanized, two assault, amphibious assault brigades and three assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas of populated areas <...> of the Dnipropetrovsk region, <...>..> Zaporozhye region. The enemy lost more than 295 soldiers," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, has defeated Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, assembly, storage, launch sites for drones and unmanned boats, temporary deployment points of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 139 areas.

In turn, air defense systems shot down 10 guided aerial bombs and 303 aircraft-type drones. The forces of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed six unmanned boats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 138,750 UAVs, 657 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,072 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,711 multiple rocket launchers, 34,655 field artillery and mortars, and 60,381 special vehicles.
