The court recovered a debt for utilities from ex-Deputy Defense Minister Ivanov
The Arbat District Magistrate's Court in Moscow has recovered utility bills from former Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov. A source told Izvestia about this on April 29.
"The judge issued an order to collect in solidarity from Ivanov Timur Vadimovich, his ex—wife and her relatives arrears of utility bills for an apartment in the central part of Moscow in the amount of 149 497 rubles," the court's press service said.
It is noted that the debt was incurred for an apartment located in the central part of Moscow.
Ivanov was detained on April 23, 2024, on charges of accepting a bribe. According to the investigation, he entered into a criminal conspiracy with the heads of contractors who worked at the facilities of the Ministry of Defense, and concluded contracts with them in exchange for personal rewards. In July, the former deputy minister was sentenced to 13 years in prison and fined 100 million rubles.
A participant in the trial informed Izvestia on April 24 that Ivanov had pleaded not guilty in the second criminal case. In addition to him, Alexander Fomin, the co-founder of the Olimpcitystroy company, is in the dock, accused of paying a particularly large bribe. The third person involved in the case, businessman Sergei Borodin, pleaded guilty and entered into a pre—trial agreement, his case was separated into a separate proceeding.
