The Russian side respects the decision of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to withdraw from the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and OPEC+. This was announced on April 29 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"This is a sovereign decision of the UAE. We respect this," he said at a briefing.
