To mark the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl accident, educational and cultural institutions across the country have held updated educational events for young people.
The Murmansk Center for Contemporary Culture and Creativity hosted a patriotic quest dedicated to the memorable date. The program included assignments revealing the historical significance of the disaster, the personal stories of the liquidators, and the study of the basics of radiation safety and modern accident prevention measures. The teams solved intellectual problems, restored the chronology of events and studied the key stages of the elimination of the consequences of the accident. The organizers paid special attention to the feat of firefighters, medics, engineers, military and volunteers.
Events dedicated to the anniversary of the accident were also held in the regions. Immersive quests were organized for young people at the Dyurtyuli Museum of Local Lore in Bashkiria, allowing them to experience the atmosphere of April 1986. Also, as part of the cycle "Chernobyl — the atomic footprint in history", the intellectual and cognitive game "Stalker" was launched in the quiz format.
Additionally, the museum hosted thematic lessons on the Chernobyl Accident: 40 Years of History, where participants studied the causes and consequences of the disaster. The program ended with a meeting of cadets, representatives of the administration and the Unarmia with the liquidators, residents of the Dyurtyuli district.
