The number of people injured in an accident involving a minibus and a foreign car in Astrakhan has increased to nine. This was announced on Wednesday, April 29, by the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.
"As a result of a traffic accident, nine citizens required medical assistance," the ministry said in a message on the Maks messenger.
It is noted that seven people were taken in a moderate condition to the Alexander-Mariinsky Regional Clinical Hospital, and another, having received minor injuries, was sent for outpatient treatment.
The victims also included a 16-year-old girl who was sent to the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. The parents of the child, who suffered moderate injuries, escorted him to a designated medical facility.
The accident involving a minibus and a Hyundai Santa Fe passenger car became known on the same day in the morning. The accident occurred due to the decision of the driver of public transport to drive at a forbidding traffic light. Because of this, he collided with another vehicle and allowed his own to roll over.
