The PD-8 engine for the Superjet aircraft was tested for hitting a hail cloud

The new PD-8 engine, designed for Superjet aircraft, was tested in conditions of a potential ship hit by a cloud of heavy hail. This was announced on Wednesday, April 29, on the website of the Russian State Corporation (GC) Rostec.

"The new PD-8 engine, developed and manufactured by the United Engine Corporation Rostec Group of Companies, was tested for falling into a cloud of squally hail as part of certification tests," the publication says.
