The bear was spotted in the Birobidzhan district of the Eastern Administrative District

Residents of the Eastern Administrative District received an SMS message on their phones saying that a bear was walking near the village of Nayfeld in Birobidzhan region. The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges citizens to be careful and vigilant.

According to IA EAOmedia, due to the occurrence of bears in the area, local residents were previously asked to limit visits to forests and the outskirts of settlements.

The rescue service advised that if these predators are found within the settlement, report this to the EDDS of the Birobidzhan region, the unified Rescue Service and the Directorate for the Protection of Wildlife and Specially Protected Natural Areas of the EAO.

Earlier, on April 20, the Agency for Forestry and Hunting of the Sakhalin Region reported that a bear had been eliminated in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk near the Vostok training center, which had repeatedly tried to enter this territory. It was clarified that the reason for this behavior of the animal remained unknown.
