Gelendzhik sent a delegation to help Tuapse after the accident
A delegation from Gelendzhik went to Tuapse to assist in the aftermath of the accident. This was announced on April 29 by the head of the city Alexey Bogodistov.
"Today <...> a delegation consisting of administration staff, rescuers, representatives of inner—city districts, the construction sector of the resort and the housing and communal services industry was sent to Tuapse," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
The mayor also stressed that assistance would be provided on a regular basis.
The governor of the Krasnodar Territory, Veniamin Kondratiev, noted the day before that the group of specialists involved in the elimination of the consequences of the accident in Tuapse would be increased by another 300 people.
The operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory reported on April 28 that a fire started at the Tuapse refinery due to falling drone debris. At least 122 people and 39 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Residents of nearby houses began to be evacuated. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said rescuers were taking all measures to eliminate the consequences. A regional emergency mode has been introduced in Tuapse.
Earlier that day, the head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Alexander Kurenkov, decided to increase the group of divers in the Tuapse area to inspect the Black Sea for oil spills after a fire at an oil storage facility.
