AvtoVAZ will allocate more than 500 million rubles for production modernization

AvtoVAZ will carry out a large-scale complex of production modernization works during the planned paid corporate vacation from May 1 to May 13. In total, it is planned to carry out over 15 thousand works with a total capacity of 110 thousand people / days, the total budget for the May modernization will exceed 530 million rubles. The company's press service informed Izvestia about this on April 29.

The list of works includes the installation of new technological equipment for the launch of production of the Lada Azimut crossover, modernization of the Lada Niva family assembly line, as well as repair and maintenance of main facilities and production systems.

In addition, commissioning of new machining centers in the engine industry will be carried out, where new engines with a volume of 1.6 liters (more than 120 hp) and 1.8 liters (more than 130 hp) will be produced, equipment will be updated in the paint shops, welding, and car assembly complex. All work is scheduled to be completed by May 18, 2026.

"Upon completion of the single corporate vacation, on May 14, the phased filling of some of the production lines that were not included in the current stage of modernization and were previously completely emptied (released) ahead of the long weekend will begin. During the May stage of production modernization, full salaries are retained for the staff," the company stressed.
