On April 28, a court in the Moscow region sentenced Sergei Anokhin, the former CEO of the Fonbet betting company, to eight years and two months in prison, as well as a fine of 12 million rubles.

"Former vice-president and ex-member of the RFU Executive Committee Sergey Anokhin was sentenced to 8 years and 2 months in prison, and fined 12 million rubles," Sport-Express reports.

Anokhin is accused of paying a particularly large bribe.
