The sowing campaign began in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory two weeks later than usual. This is due to snowfall in the second half of April, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports on social networks.

As of April 27, farms had closed 70,000 hectares of moisture, and spring sowing was carried out on 350 hectares, mainly wheat and oats. In the Shusha district, farmers began planting onions and potatoes.

"They plan to start sowing farms en masse in the first decade of May. The ministry keeps the issues of providing villagers with the necessary material and technical resources for sowing under constant control," said Dmitry Voropaev, head of the department.

The region is fully supplied with seeds of cereals, legumes, soybeans and rapeseed. Potato seeds – 97%, the rest will arrive in early May. Vegetable seed supply is 87.3%.

According to the KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, 95% of the seeds of cereals, legumes and cereals meet the requirements of the standard.

Also, more than 138 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers were imported to the regional farms. Deliveries are continuing. The main types of agricultural machinery are in a high state of readiness. There is no shortage of spare parts and consumables.

Earlier, Izvestia wrote that in Russia, the timing of the sowing of spring crops — barley, peas, wheat - may be shifted by three weeks. This creates risks for crop reduction, and farmers will be forced to abandon the sowing of some crops.
