Lyubimova called the educational marathon "Knowledge. The first ones"

Educational marathon "Knowledge. The First" became the "great chronicle" of the regions of Russia. This was announced on April 28 by the head of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova at the opening of the event.

"It is with special pride that I always watch when young people are happy to present their projects dedicated to the intangible heritage of their small Homeland. The place where they come from, the regions where they were born, even the families, some archives and stories, customs - all this is collected in a huge, large chronicle," she said.

The marathon started on April 28. It will last three days. This year, "Knowledge. Firsts" is dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia and the preservation of a unique national culture. Government and public figures, scientists, athletes, representatives of culture and art will act as lecturers at the event.

"Knowledge. Firsts" takes place in 10 cities of Russia. The main events will take place at the Manege Exhibition Complex in Moscow.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on December 25 last year that he had signed a decree on holding the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia in 2026. Later, on February 5, 2026, he declared the corresponding thematic year open. The initiative is aimed at strengthening national unity, peace and harmony between peoples.
