The cause of death of actor Robert Lyapidevsky has been named.
People's Artist of Russia Robert Lyapidevsky died as a result of complications after covid. This was reported on April 28 by TASS with reference to the artist's family.
It is noted that the actor died as a result of a long illness.
"For 89 years, the body collects a lot of sores. All these sores get worse later. It all started with COVID-19, which caused organ complications. After COVID-19, he worked in the theater for two years, retired, and left us at home today," the agency's source said.
People's Artist of Russia Robert Lyapidevsky died at the age of 89 on April 28. Over the years of his career, Lyapidevsky played dozens of roles: the Spirit of the bloody Countess, Tsar Saltan, Aladdin, Don Juan, the Cretan bull, Eeyore the donkey, as well as the Angel, the Devil and the Creator in the Divine Comedy. In the "Extraordinary Concert" he played the role of Entertainer Eduard Aplombov.
The artist will be buried at the Novodevichy cemetery. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 30.
