In January–March 2026, 3,403 new UAZ vehicles were sold in Russia, which is 31% less than in the same period last year. This was reported on April 28 by the analytical agency Autostat.

The largest sales volume in the first quarter was accounted for by the SGR family of commercial vehicles (popularly known as the "Loaf"), whose result was 1,333 copies. This figure was 38% higher than in the first three months of the previous year.

The Patriot SUV took the second place in popularity among UAZ trucks, with sales of 878 units and a 26% decrease in sales.

This is followed by the light truck "Profi" (628 units; -23%) and "Pickup" (510 units; -25%), as well as "Hunter" (54 units; -31%).

On April 24, it was reported that the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant had submitted applications to Rospatent for registration of a number of trademarks, including UAZ Bukhanka, which is written in both Cyrillic and Latin letters — UAZ Bukhanka. It is possible that the company may start using this name as an official one.

On April 10, the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant told Izvestia that the company does not plan to stop production of SGR and Hunter cars in the foreseeable future.
