The European Union (EU) is increasingly plunging into the conflict in Ukraine with its arms supplies to Kiev. This was stated on April 28 by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov at a meeting of the heads of military departments of the SCO member states in Bishkek.

"There is a decrease in the activity of the United States of America in supporting the Kiev regime against the background of increased assistance to Ukraine from European countries. The European Union is getting deeper into the conflict, financing it and supplying weapons," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

He noted that Moscow monitors all production and logistics supply chains of European weapons and deliberately makes them public. The minister cited the example of a list of enterprises in Europe published in the media that produce and supply attack drones and their components to Ukraine.

"Such actions contribute to a sharp escalation of the military-political situation on the entire European continent and can lead to unpredictable consequences," Belousov said.

The New York Times newspaper wrote on April 25 that European leaders have lost influence on the Ukrainian conflict and do not know how to lead Kiev to victory, so they have no choice but to finance the Ukrainian army so that it can hold out for some time.

Italian journalist Thomas Fasi said on April 23 that the EU's decision to provide Kiev with a loan of €90 billion would harm Ukraine itself in the first place. He added that Kiev's financing is beneficial only to the "transatlantic oligarchy" and the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Western countries.
