A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops has established control over the settlement of Zemlyanki in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the actions of Russian servicemen, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) lost more than 150 militants, a car, two ammunition depots and two warehouses of materiel.

In addition, the Southern group of troops liberated the village of Ilyinovka in the DPR, defeated the manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian armed forces in the areas of the settlements of Konstantinovka, Nikolaevka, Artyom, Kramatorsk and Rai-Alexandrovka of the DPR. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 130 militants, two armored combat vehicles, two field artillery guns and 13 vehicles.

"The units of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. They defeated formations of the mechanized, two amphibious assault brigades and two assault regiments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of settlements <...> of the Dnipropetrovsk region, <...> Zaporozhye region. The enemy lost up to 260 soldiers," the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Russian army, with the help of aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), missiles and artillery, defeated Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, drone assembly, storage and launch sites, temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 districts.

In turn, air defense systems shot down 10 guided aerial bombs and 281 aircraft-type drones.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, since the beginning of the special operation, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 138,447 UAVs, 656 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,066 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,711 multiple rocket launchers, 34,642 field artillery and mortars, 60,318 pieces of special vehicles.
